I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
